Another pastry using the versatile Phyllo. The texture is together with thence delicate, but yet it doesn't interruption easily.
For Chinese New Year's Day this year, I posted a peanut roll, that has most the same concept, that is baked rolled pastry that has been brushed alongside ghee together with filled alongside sugary nuts. Armenian Boorma
Recipe adapted from: The Armenian Kitchen
Makes xx rolls
v pcs of frozen phyllo/filo
three Tbsp Ghee/Clarified butter, melted
Few Tbsp of Shira, equally needed
Filling (Mix together)
50gm walnuts, finely chopped
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
ane Tbsp sugar
Special tool needed: Chopstick or a 1/3 inch thick stick.
1. Cut the each phyllo sail into iv pieces.
2. Lightly brush the ghee over.
3. Sprinkle a scant teaspoon of filling over.
4. Roll upwards using a chopstick
5. Put the chopstick upright touching the table, together with force the coil down. The coil volition wrinkle.
6. Remove the wrinkled coil together with house onto a lined baking tray. You tin forcefulness out house them groovy together with snug.
7. Complete rolling all the phyllo sheets together with brush extra ghee over the rolls
8. Bake inwards a preheated oven at 180C for xx minutes until golden together with crispy.
